Fiscal Sponsorship Models A, B and C
Big Lights, Little City (BLLC) offers three Fiscal Sponsorship Models, tailored to meet the diverse needs of arts organizations and creative projects. Each model is designed to provide essential administrative support and monetary management while allowing artistic leaders to focus on their vision.
Model A: Comprehensive Sponsorship
Under Model A, BLLC becomes the full legal and administrative home for your project. This model is ideal for initiatives that do not have their own 501(c)(3) status but want to operate as a nonprofit. BLLC assumes fiduciary and legal responsibility, managing finances, compliance, and reporting. You focus on your mission while we handle the administrative burden.
Model B: Grantor-Grantee Relationship
Model B is perfect for projects that wish to maintain more independence but still need 501(c)(3) status to receive tax-deductible donations and grants. BLLC acts as the fiscal sponsor for your project and oversees grant and donation administration. Your project retains operational autonomy while adhering to agreed-upon financial and reporting guidelines.
Model C: Administrative Services Only
For organizations or projects that already have their own 501(c)(3) status or other structures but need targeted administrative support, Model C is the ideal choice. BLLC provides specific services such as bookkeeping, compliance, and grant management without assuming full fiscal sponsorship. This model allows you to retain full control while benefiting from our expertise.
